This Privacy Policy explains how Wine Scanner (”the App”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. By using the App you agree to this policy.

  2. Wine Scanner does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or phone number to use it.

  4. The App stores the wine data you create — scan results, tasting notes, collection entries, prices, and dates. This data is stored locally on your device.

  6. The App uses your device’s camera or photo library to capture images of wine labels for recognition. Photos are processed to identify wine information and are stored locally on your device. Label images are sent to OpenAI’s API for recognition (see Section 4).

  8. When you scan a wine label, the image is sent to OpenAI’s API to identify the wine and retrieve details.     1. SUBSCRIPTIONS
  10. Purchases of Wine Scanner Pro are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, anonymous app user identifier and purchase/transaction information from Apple needed to validate and manage your subscription.   12. We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising. We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking beyond what is described above for wine recognition and subscriptions.

  14. Your wine data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual records in the App, or remove all data by deleting the App.

  16. Wine Scanner is not directed to children under 17. The App contains references to alcoholic beverages and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
